NASCAR dreams, bespoke sandwiches: here's what you can get at this year's big RPS auction
Want to bake bread with a school board member?
The Richmond Ed Fund can make that happen.
Between now and June 16, the Fund, a nonprofit foundation that raises money for Richmond Public Schools, is holding an online auction where people can bid on not only local staples like museum memberships, but also a host of unique experiences. Besides baking with school board member Matt Percival, you can bid on:
- A sandwich named after you at Garnett's
- A round of golf with Terry McAuliffe at Congressional Country Club
- The chance to drive a NASCAR race car
- A float down the James River with Dominion CEO Bob Blue
- A sourdough breadmaking class with school board member Matt Percival
The Fund supports a variety of RPS goals, including the division's plans to convert a former tobacco factory in South Richmond that was previously donated by Altria into a new career and technical school.
