The Richmonder is starting its first awards program, but we're doing it our way.

Introducing 25 in '25, a series spotlighting the people who are inspiring us by doing good and bringing joy to our communities.

This isn't a list of Richmond's most powerful people. This is about sharing good news, and the humanity that connects us.

We want to tell the stories of Richmonders who make this a great place to live, whether it's through volunteer service, leadership, innovation or just brightening the day of those around them.

• It's the barista from your local coffee shop who remembers everyone's name and order.
• It's a neighbor who serves as a connection point.
• And it's the business owners who do things the right way.

We need your assistance as we assemble our inaugural class. A committee will select 25 winners from submitted nominations, who will be profiled in The Richmonder and honored at an event this fall.
