July 30, 2026

William Thomas Christian, Jr. transitioned to his heavenly home on July 30, 2026. He was born on November 17, 1957, in Richmond, Virginia, where he attended Richmond Public Schools. He was preceded in death by his father, William Thomas Christian, Sr.

William retired in 2019 from Performance Food Group after a long and successful career in the foodservice and foodservice equipment industry. Throughout his career, he formed lasting friendships that he treasured for many years.

William found great joy in coaching girls' basketball for the Glen Allen Athletic Association. He initially took on the role so he could coach his daughter, Erica, but he quickly became a dedicated mentor to many young athletes. Under his leadership, his teams earned championship titles year after year. While coaching was one of his passions, nothing brought William greater happiness than spending time with his grandsons. Caring for them during the week filled his days with laughter, love, and unforgettable memories until his health no longer allowed him to do so.

William leaves to cherish his memory his devoted wife of 42 years, Brigette Christian; his children, Ursula J. White (Erskin), Angelia C. Fisher (Dwayne), Erica C. Roth (Richard), and William Michael Christian; seven beloved grandchildren who brought immeasurable joy to his life. He is also survived by his mother, Florine Banks Christian; his sisters, Berlinda Christian and Jacqueline Stubbs (Kevin); and brother, Johnny Christian; Mother-in-law Pinnetta C. Coleman, Sister-in-law Michelle C. Green (Terone), a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and close friends, Rev. Victor Williams and Carlton Robinson (CO).

William will be remembered for his dedication to his family, his love of mentoring young people, his strong work ethic, and the lasting impact he made on all who knew him. His legacy of love, kindness, and devotion will continue to live on in the hearts of those who were blessed to know him.
