Valentine sets Feb. 7 for Bill Martin open house, pauses most events

The Valentine museum will pause most of its events in January after the unexpected death of director Bill Martin on Dec. 28.

In a Monday social media post, the museum announced that it will pause all but one scheduled program in January, "in order to allow time and space to grieve and process together."

The remaining program is on Jan. 16, Religious Freedom Day.

"This lecture series was a particular favorite of Bill’s," the museum staff wrote.

The museum also announced that there will be an open house in Martin's honor on Saturday, Feb. 7, with more details to come.

"Thank you for your continued support and for holding Bill’s legacy with such care," the museum wrote.
