Today is voting day in Richmond
Virginia voters will cast their ballot today to determine who the state's next Governor, Lieutenant Governor and Attorney General will be. (Read more on the statewide candidates here.)
There are also a number of competitive House of Delegates races, as well as three local offices in Richmond where the candidate is running unopposed.
The state has a tool you can use to look up your polling place. Polls open at 6 a.m. and will remain open for anybody in line by 7 p.m.
Early voting once again grew in popularity year-over-year in the Richmond area, as well as in the rest of Virginia. More than 1.4 million ballots were cast early in this election.
The Richmonder does not extensively cover state politics, as we are a local news organization by mission. We will report on the results, and how Richmond voted, in Wednesday's editions.
