Richmonder staff news: Meet Anne-Marie Worthy!

It's an exciting day at The Richmonder, as we are thrilled to welcome our sixth full-time employee!

We launched last year with three full-time employees, so to double in size in our first 14 months is tremendous validation that we are elevating the conversation in Richmond.

Anne-Marie Worthy will serve as The Richmonder's new Director of Development. Her experience includes time with Comfort Zone Camp, the Richmond Symphony, VPM and NBC 12.

Our structure

The Richmonder has three full-time reporters, who work in the community each day to bring you the latest local news.

We also now have two employees in our business development office.

Beth Weisbrod, through her work as Director of Audience and Community Engagement, is dedicated to making sure everyone in the region has not just heard of The Richmonder, but receives our newsletter. She also guides the growth of our popular speaker series — advance tickets to our January event have sold out, and we've started a waiting list!

Anne-Marie will work with community partners to grow our capacity to deliver the news. The Richmonder is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, which exists to benefit the community through high-quality news and information about their city. We are actively seeking donors to assist us in growing to reach our goal of providing smart, informative local news across the Richmond region.
