Richmond, Henrico, Hanover and Chesterfield schools will be closed on Monday, Dec. 8 due to forecasted snow.

Because temperatures are well below freezing, this will be pure snow, without the traditional slushy mix.

Expect about 1-2 inches of accumulation locally.

Between 8 and 10 a.m., RPS will be providing grab-and-go meals for any student who needs them at the following locations: 

Armstrong HS
Blackwell ES
Brown MS
Cardinal ES
Henderson MS
McClenney ES
MLK MS
Oak Grove-Bellemeade ES
