Richmond schools, offices canceled on Friday due to forecasted snow

Richmond, Henrico, Hanover and Chesterfield schools will be closed on Friday, Dec. 5 due to forecasted snow.

Government buildings will also be closed, while the inclement weather shelter will operate at 1900 Chamberlayne Avenue.

The snow, the first of the season, is forecasted to begin overnight and create about an inch of accumulation.
