Colonial Downs jockey airlifted to Richmond hospital after being thrown from horse

Colonial Downs canceled the remainder of its scheduled races on Thursday after an incident where a jockey was thrown from a horse and severely injured.
The horse, named Stanza, "clipped heels," meaning its front foot hit its hind foot while running.
The track released the following statement:
"During the running of Race 7 at Colonial Downs, Stanza clipped heels and unseated jockey Tyler Conner. Following the incident, Conner was conscious and airlifted to Virginia Commonwealth Hospital in Richmond for medical care.
"In support of the jockey colony at Colonial Downs, we will be canceling the remainder of the race card today.
"Our thoughts are with Conner and his team. "
Great news from agent Paula Bacon, who just texted that she spoke with @tyler_conner519, and "he was in really good spirits, and all the feeling is coming back." Current diagnosis is broken C1 and nose. pic.twitter.com/uY8LKs66jb

Paulick Report, a horse racing publication, said the horse was "fine" after the incident.
This has been a breaking news update.
