Should Richmond ban gas-powered leaf blowers?
In May, Alexandria became the first locality in the state to ban gas-powered leaf blowers, which are often criticized as being annoyingly loud and bad for the environment.
One Richmond council member floated the idea, but said feedback was mixed, and he didn't plan to pursue it anytime soon. Read more here.

Karl Huber's work contributes to the flourishing of Byrd Park
A retired scientist with the Virginia Department of Conservation and Recreation who came to Richmond in 1980, Huber has become a familiar face around Byrd Park.
“There’s maybe 3,000 trees in Byrd Park, and Karl probably knows every single one of them,” said Dana Marshall, president of Richmond Tree Stewards.
