# VHMC previews next weekend's 'Illumination' event for debate participants

To celebrate the nation's 250th birthday, the Virginia Museum of History and Culture will run a projection that brings the nation's history onto the screen in front of the museum.

Attending the projection [**is free**](https://virginiahistory.org/events/americas-250th/illumination#do-i-need-tickets). It will run nightly from June 25-28 beginning at 9 p.m., and Arthur Ashe Boulevard will be closed each night in front of the museum.
