# RPS posts job opening for a chief talent officer months after investigation into Clemmons

Richmond Public Schools has [posted a job opening](https://richmondcity.schoolspring.com/?jobid=5162239) for a chief talent officer this month, after the officer holding the position was placed on administrative leave in February.

Employees filed multiple complaints to the division against Maggie Clemmons – who oversees human resources, labor relationships, employment and benefits – alleging she created a “hostile” work environment, discriminated against workers of color and violated policies.

While Clemmons was on leave, Superintendent Jason Kamras said an “[independent third party](https://www.richmonder.org/rps-puts-chief-talent-officer-on-leave-while-it-investigates-complaints/)” would conduct an investigation into the allegations against her. 

RPS spokesperson Alyssa Schwenk confirmed that Clemmons was still on leave and still employed with RPS, but said she could not comment on personnel information beyond that.

The position is listed as paying $181,802 a year. It is expected to be open on July 1.
