# Lockdown lifted at Monacan High, Gordon Elementary

Chesterfield lifted its lockdown at Monacan High School and neighboring Gordon Elementary after it secured the area following a phone call about a threat to Monacan this morning.

The schools’ parents received a notification to stay away from the building this morning, and not drop their kids off. Buses heading to Gordon were rerouted.

“We take every threat seriously, and are investigating the source of the phone call,” a Chesterfield Police spokesperson wrote to The Richmonder.
