Richmond City has 165,434 registered voters ahead of Tuesday's election, and 43,399 of them took advantage of early voting options offered by the city.

The final turnout will determine how many voters cast their ballot ahead of election day, but the final number is likely to be at or above 33%, or one in every three voters.

That included a late surge of more than 6,000 voters who cast their ballot last Friday and Saturday during the final days of early voting.

Some more breakdowns of this year's vote...

### In-person option more popular than mail ballots

36,278 people voted in-person at one of the three early-voting sites, while as of Saturday, the Department of Elections had received 7,121 mail-in ballots.

### Women, Millennials lead the way

Of Richmond's registered voters, data group L2 Political says 82,632 are female, while 68,818 registered voters are male.

Nationally, 70% of women are registered to vote, while 68% of men are.

Also nationally, the generation referred to as Millennials (born between 1981-1996, current age 27-43) accounts for 27.5% of the voting age population.

In Richmond City, though, Millennials have 38.3% of the vote, according to L2.
